My name is Sue Jackson and I live just outside Bath, in the village of Timsbury.
I have been a dedicated sportswoman all my life and have always had an interest in fitness . I have played lacrosse, netball, volleyball, tennis and squash for various teams over the years and am a keen golfer and walker having 2 exercise hungry dogs.
I have attended many gyms over the years mostly in Bath but decided to complete my Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training exams so that I could pass on my passion for fitness to others and base my gym in the villages to provide a service to people outside of the city.
Sarah King also works with me here and is also a keen sportswoman. She is a good runner and is also a dedicated yoga teacher as well as having kettercise qualifications. She is also a Level 2 and level 3 personal trainer and takes many of our classes here at Balance.
Our other members of the team are Kara Herbert for Yoga and Mairi Connelly and Tessa Clist for Pilates. They are all highly qualified in their fields.
Sarah and I have recently added Suspension Training and P.A.C.E ( Postural Assessment and Corrective Exercise). to our amour and run a dedicated PACE class twice a week. We combine all training into our classes to complement them.
I have completed many challenges over the years and in October 2015 I completed a 10 day cycling challenge for The Willow Foundation where I cycled from the Vietnam capital to Anchor Watt in Cambodia. I believe having a goal will motivate you to achieve it, whether that be to get fitter or run a 5k race. In November 2016 I trekked for 10 days in Burma. This was hot humid and difficult sleeping conditions but glorious unspoilt countryside. I raised Money through the gym for the Leonard Cheshire home, Green Hill House in Timsbury.
The Gym is set in beautiful countryside and is peaceful, quiet and private. This gym is designed for all those who would like to train in idyllic surroundings in a personal and unique training space with free parking and no traffic queues into and out of Bath!
